Cristina Celestino gives the Milan bistro "28 Posti" a makeover

The "28 Posti" has been around for six years now - time for a complete makeover, according to the owners. And for this they brought the designer and architect Cristina Celestino on board.

Cristina Celestino redesigns the bistro

Cristina Celestino's individual style stands for elegance through striking shapes, exquisite materials and here - in the most positive sense - a touch of construction site. This was exactly what the team at "28 Posti" in Milan envisioned for the makeover of the trendy restaurant in the Italian design metropolis.

In terms of color, the gourmet temple makes use of a palette of warm pastel and earth tones, rounded off by various wood finishes, terracotta from Fornace Brioni, waxed steel and lightly saturated blue. The walls under the historic wooden beams on the ceiling are covered with terracotta from Celestino's "Gonzaga" collection, next to it treated with earth plaster by Matteo Brioni. In the middle of the room, Celestion placed a partition wall made of raw brick.

"My design plays with ideas of authenticity, comfort, simplicity and origin. Everything here aims to create parallels between the interior and the soul of the place: the art of chef Marco Ambrosino."

The "28 Posti" is inviting with warm pastel and earth tones. Highlights include terracotta paneling by Cristina Celestino for Fornace Brioni and masonry plaster by Matteo Brioni.

Celestino created a new spatial structure with a brick partition without interfering with the substance.
